Description
Solo developer · Ninjutsu Games
Ninja PvP is an anime ninja arena brawler that runs in the browser — 4v4 team deathmatch fought across a low-poly Japanese village of rooftops, torii gates and floating islands. Techniques are not bound to a key: every jutsu has a hand-seal recipe, and you chain the seals to cast it while still being shot at.
Impact
An arena brawler where casting is an execution skill instead of a cooldown — six jutsu, each locked behind a hand-seal recipe you have to input mid-fight, in a game that loads in a browser tab.
What I did
- Build the game end to end in Unity — combat, networking, UI, and the WebGL delivery pipeline.
- Designed the hand-seal casting system: each jutsu is a recipe over five seals, so the stronger techniques cost longer and riskier inputs.
- Built the 4v4 team deathmatch loop — race to a target score, round timer, killfeed, scoreboard, and bot backfill so a match can start without a full lobby.
- Run the surrounding product myself: landing site, public wiki, patch notes, and a Discord playtest community.
Outcome
In alpha on desktop Chrome at ninjapvp.com, with players testing builds through Discord.
